Child and Teen Mother Sponsorship

EAGLES Youth Development Initiative (EYDI) is a registered non-profit making organization (Reg.No. WCBO/058/08) that was founded in 2002 by young people who were committed to empowerment of adolescents and Young Adults in Uganda.  EYDI has been conducting community and school outreaches on HIV prevention, STIs, family planning among others to bridge knowledge gap on Condom use, HIV Testing and Counseling (HTC), Safe Male Circumcision (SMC), dangers of multiple con-current sexual partners, teenage pregnancy, STIs and Body Changes among others. These were geared towards generating discussion on prevention of HIV/AIDS and unplanned pregnancies. Also, we offer HIV/AIDS Counseling and guidance, formed Peer Educators Club who meet twice a month to discuss issues of HIV/STIs, family planning, entrepreneurship among others. Vision: Empowered and healthy Generation.  Mission: Contributing to the process of HIV prevention, restoring hope and empower communities which results into zero new infection through scaling up access to quality Sexual Reproductive health services for social and economic well-being.
Child and teen mother sponsorship is an easy and powerful way to help a vulnerable child/ Teen mother to break the bonds of extreme poverty. It connects you with an individual child/teen mother and allows you the opportunity to develop a lifelong relationship that will change the life of that child forever. We believe that it will change your life as well. Child and teen mother sponsorship is not a transaction. It is a relationship. It is life transformation.
 
 $28 a monthly contribution can provide children with:

·         Education

·         Clothing

·         Nutritious food

·         First-aid and Medical Care

·         Apprenticeship training/ Skills Development

Once you sponsor a child/ teen mother, you will receive your child’s photo and personal story in a sponsorship packet via mail. That packet will contain information about letter writing and other important information.
