CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE AT THE 2nd. GRADUATION CEREMONY

On behalf of the Executive Committee, Subscribing members and the entire management, it gives pleasure to warmly welcome Hon. Mutebi Ronald (Mayor Busukuma Division and Community member to Eagles Youth Development Initiative this 15 years of existence and to the 2nd. graduation ceremony in particular. I would like to heartily congratulate all the graduates for their hard work, parents, spouses and guardians for the sacrifices made. May I also express my sincere appreciation to the Executive Director and staff, for assisting the graduate in their educational and life journey during these defining years, and for their efforts in making this organization a place of excellence and fine achievements.

Today, as you receive your qualifications, you will hold in your hands the key to the door of your future professional success. This is your achievement but you should always remember the sacrifices others have made to ensure that you stand here today as future leaders, I trust that the leadership qualities that you demonstrate, in the future will reflect the values that you have nurtured during your period at Eagles Youth Development Initiative.

Notice a world beyond yourself and put different values into practice by serving the less fortunate members of our society. Where there is inequality and injustice, we need you to work for opportunity and equity. at a time of so much uncertainty and cynicism, let us work even harder to nurturing confidence, hope, optimism and trust as we build our communities and nations, as we nurture our collective competence, and as we challenge and drive out corruption in societies, and in private and corporate life.

Dear graduates, graduation this should never mean goodbye, I sincerely hope you will remain connected in one or another way to this organization. Eagles Youth Development Initiative is and always will be a place of interaction among extra-ordinary and diverse people, so please take advantage of the many opportunities to be active and engaged members of this organization.

Be proud of what you have worked to achieve and remember those who have supported you to reach this end by getting a certificate in computer application. I wish you every success as you enter this next exciting stage of your life and career, and very much hope that you stay connected with Eagles Youth Development Initiative in the years to come.

Grants and Fundraising Intern

In this role you will be serving the EYDI resource mobilization team by assisting with fundraising and development efforts through grant writing, written proposal and identifying key donors. PERIOD PRIDE FOR ALL

  Eagles Youth Development Initiative was formed in 2002 by a group of young people  and  is a registered non -profit making organization, committed to empower  children,  adolescents and women in Uganda to  improve access to menstrual health education and products, sanitation and hygiene facilities among others. The year 2022, we  launched" The Period Pride campaign "  aims to support 10,000 girls and young women in hard to reach areas like Bussi Island, Uganda  with reusable pads, menstrual education and information.  Many  girls and women  in rural areas  do have limited access to hygienic menstrual products and poor sanitation infrastructure undermining the education opportunities, health and their social status thus limiting them to reach their full potential.   The are no  schools  based funded  or  underfunded menstrual  health education programs . ‎ Therefore,  we are mobilizing resources to save girls and young women on the Island for better tomorrow.
