Eagles Youth Development Initiative

Eagles Youth Development Initiative (EYDI)  is a non-profit making organization that was founded by young people in 2002 and it is a registered community based organization (Reg.No. WCBO/058/08) committed to empowerment of the young people in Uganda. We work to prevent Violence against children and women, teenage pregnancy, STIs treatment and prevention, HIV/AIDS Prevention and Economic empowerment and strengthening among others.   EYDI has been working in Bussi Island, Wakiso District, Uganda for 2 years now focusing on preventing school based violence unfortunately there is continuous poverty that affects most of the people of the area, therefore parents can not support children with scholastic materials, sanitary towels, mid day meal among others. To the organization it means that we share similar values and commitment to affect positive change in the communities. The true family culture and norm; parents, guardian, caregivers and children sit together as a family, make decisions as a family and share a calling to make a difference as a family. And this process will define who (EYDI) we are and what we stand for in 2019.
