Am Nabisubi Rehema aged 25 years completed a Diploma in Business Management at YWA-Kampala in 2011 failed to get a job until, I was advised by Mr. Musoke .S. Twahah(Executive Director) to join Eagles Youth Development Group for hands on computer training.
After 4 months of Computer training, leadership, entrepreneurship mentoring and coaching, we were awarded certificates, We (Nabisubi Rehema, Nabbosa Deborah, Masakate Hakim, Ntege Wilberforce, Nakimbugwe Juliet among others) were advised by the Executive Director mentioned above to apply for Jobs advertised by National Security and information System project(National ID Project) under Ministry of Internal Affairs and all of us succeeded and we were recruited in Wakiso District, Busukuma Sub County as Enrolment Officers for a period of 4 Months and currently am working Store officer with Mairye Estates Ltd using a computerized store ledger books. I wish to acknowledge support rendered to youth through various project implemented by the mentioned organization for child protection, gender based violence prevention special recognition goes to the  computer training component for providing computer skill relevant to the job market. Am Semwogerere Edward  aged 19 from Kibibi Village, Wamirongo Parish, Busukuma Sub County Wakiso District, I sat for senior six at Secred Heart  Secondary School Bombo, Luweero District.
I would like to appreciate Eagles Youth Development Group through ICT FOR YOUTH EMPLOYMENT Project; previously I did not know the value of ICT is community transformation. After the first training module, am empowered to use a computer for different purpose for example employment creation and online learning. The training is youth friendly tailored towards building capacity of unemployed youth. Am exposed and empowered on different uses of computer, got new resourceful friends. Through the project am now linked to different people as well as different ideas.
My stay at Eagles Youth Center has enabled me to know more about its developmental programme and its objectives like: empowering the youths with vast skills in ICT and reducing HIV infection among the youth. I pray that God guide Mr. Musoke .S. Twahah the Executive Director to get necessary to support and train more unemployed with practical skills. Thanks

PERIOD PRIDE FOR ALL

  Eagles Youth Development Initiative was formed in 2002 by a group of young people  and  is a registered non -profit making organization, committed to empower  children,  adolescents and women in Uganda to  improve access to menstrual health education and products, sanitation and hygiene facilities among others. The year 2022, we  launched" The Period Pride campaign "  aims to support 10,000 girls and young women in hard to reach areas like Bussi Island, Uganda  with reusable pads, menstrual education and information.  Many  girls and women  in rural areas  do have limited access to hygienic menstrual products and poor sanitation infrastructure undermining the education opportunities, health and their social status thus limiting them to reach their full potential.   The are no  schools  based funded  or  underfunded menstrual  health education programs . ‎ Therefore,  we are mobilizing resources to save girls and young women on the Island for better tomorrow. Grants and Fundraising Intern
